“It’s a sellout, but it won’t look like one,” I told any one who would listen before the game. It’s close to Thanksgiving, the students are on break, their parents won’t be there … it just won’t be full.
I was pleasantly surprised when we got to our seats 30 minutes before kick and the student section was already mostly filled. The alums were there as well. Even the visitors section, usually sparse when the opposing fans don’t show, was filled up with Mizzou fans.
What a way to send the seniors out! Congrats to the Mizzou AD for getting us all there and for keeping us engaged throughout the game (the game did that of course, but the game staff is killing it in helping out). And congrats to us fans for answering the call.
We’ve seen the video of Brady running around after the game, shaking hands and high-fiving all the kids. Cody did the same. I swear the dude was campaigning for office. Hugging the women. Shaking hands with the men. Kissing the babies.
