And for what? All for billionaires to continue to save a little more money so they can stay afloat while uprooting the lives of thousands of people.
When it ended, I took a couple of minutes and sat in shock. And then I cried.
I called my friends and told them what happened. I walked to a friend's apartment, and they made me food, and we came up with something to post on LinkedIn.
I advise everyone to look into company culture before accepting a new position. Reach out to current employees and ask hard questions. Lean on the people closest to you and do what you need for your mental health.
This might be the softest group of people ever.
How dare these people who created these companies do what's in their best interest!
A job is a right! Time to write an essay professing my victimhood and the anti-capitalism critiques of billionaires.
Getting laid off sucks, it's terrible, but are we seriously to a point now where if this happens it's some kind of cultural grievance?
So this generation can take jobs, quit to take another one and not even bat an eye, but if the company gets rid of them, it's a culture issue? It's wrong?
Work from home is ruining these people.
My god the recession might completely destroy the tech crowd. Can you imagine if they might need to work two jobs, do something labor intensive, or God forbid show up to work?
