As I get older I tend to think about the kids who chose to be Tigers more. I used to get pissed at everyone after a loss. Anymore, I remind my self that not only are the players real life people but they are still kids. They are 18 to 23 year olds who have a ton of pressure on them. Games, Seasons like this one suck. Yes they suck for fans, and coaches but think about these guys suiting up to rep Mizzou only to be kicked in the teeth by "fans." I look at Kelly Bryant and I'm still shocked he chose Mizzou. He may not be the player many of us hoped or thought he was but don't let that get in the way of the fact he could have gone to a ton of other schools. Bryant is beat up and he's taking his responsibility as the starting QB and his scholarship serious. He's giving everything including his body to the team. It's just not in the cards.

The truth is all of this falls on the coaching staff. If the players aren't good enough that's not their fault. I like Barry Odom but it's his fault that the kids who he could get on campus can't get the job done. I appreciate the player Barry was but he's got to go. I hope the decision to fire Barry happens before the Arkansas game. I doubt it will, but that way the players can hopefully go out and grab a victory over the Hawgs, play in a bowl game and it won't feel like punishment bc the coaching search will already be in high gear.
