As of Mar. 2023, two U.S. states had COVID rates higher than 42 cases per 100 population. Maryland had the lowest rate of cases.

Vermont has the highest percentage of its population fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the CDC's COVID-19 vaccine distribution and administration data tracker.
I searched high and wide (okay I did one google search…) to find cumulative hospitalizations (Covid deaths is subjective and total deaths is not reliable yet on the more recent data) - but adding that data would certainly add context to this picture.
This is very incomplete, so I’ll leave the grand judgements to others, but it seems that someone ought to be putting these data points together to help everyone make better decisions during the pandemic. If only we had a government agency that could serve that purpose…..
