Seemed like a lot of these teams that made runs played in those big time early season tournaments. Would love to see a stronger noncon schedule. I know we play kU and Illinois, but I’d love for us to be more battle tested early. Feel like that showed when kU dominated us in December. Don’t think it is what would make or break a season but that type of exposure early on seems invaluable come March IMO.
I’m not necessarily asking to go to Maui, but just beef up the noncon some. This year it made some sense to start off with cupcakes given the new staff and roster, but going forward I’d love to see that change.
