Can never go wrong on the DL with names like Nwaneri and Nwankwo
I think it’s fair to assume a slight drop off at the LB position next year…they can still be solid and hopefully a young guy can step in and show promise.
On the line McClellan seems like a guy that is going to eventually take off in production…you just hope it’s sooner rather than later

With the way our O-Line has improved this year I would be pleased to take Pounders and have our coaching staff work with him. I think he can be quality, especially with that name
Just sell him on the chance to not be denied a playoff spot.

I still remember Gary Thorne saying Brad Ekwerekwu's last name five different ways during a game against Iowa State, and none of them were correct.
My guess is this one has always been a long shot. It's going to be very expensive for whoever signs him. With the EDGE types they have already visiting, not sure it becomes serious with Baron, but we'll keep an eye on it

Ole Miss could have him, the Florida DE and Nolan. Lane has some money to throw
Sean will have one early next week. Let us get through this weekend first.

This guy and Flagg are very similar. Neither is going to wow you athleticially. Steady. I imagine with Baker's connection Flagg is the take. I think the FSU guy was a good wrestler in H.S.
As far as safety….I am certainly hoping it is time for Marvin Burks to be a difference maker. Surely some of these young recruits can fill some of these holes. Can’t be all portal. I think the same at DE….did the staff miss on all of these guys?
@GabeD might Pounders (or any other transfers listed here for that matter) be electing to play in their bowl game since his visit is after? Seems unlikely but it is allowed and it would make those bowl games of more interest to us.
Pounders PFF grade vs us was 65.5, which is avg-above avg. I remember DRob got injured and left that game, who he would've faced. I had no reason to pay particular attention to LT but as a unit I thought their OL was very sound. I recorded it so will have to watch it.
It appears we're pursuing guys with 2 years eligibility instead of 1 and dones.
Gonna need at least one safety then. If Charleston leaves probably two. That’s not ideal to replace 80% of a secondary.
Right, I think they like Burks quite a bit. I just think the portal is the flavor of the month and fans fall in love with portal guys over some of the guys they already know are here. It's probably the idea of getting a new toy is more fun than playing with the toy you already have even if the one you already have is pretty cool
Sure, that's possible. But I think whoever said Pounders isn't a Plan A guy is right. I think Plan A on the OL is Strickland and Green
I hope guys like Burks, Roche, Lang, and Tounkara are contributors next year as well. But I also think that you can’t just have a two deep anymore, you almost need a 3 deep. Especially when the difference between 9-3 vs 10-2 might be a playoff spot now.
Burks and Carnell have a chance to be a very, very nice safety tandem
