This may be a dumb question... but here it goes.
I love Tilmon's upside potential. I love to watch him move and play in the paint. And I love his attitude.
What I don't understand is why he is in such foul trouble. During the USCjr game it was like the Refs read the script for Tilmon and just knew that he had to foul out and so they made it happen. But in other games I see his fouls and most calls are legit. How is it he can foul so much now, and yet he was so successful at the AAU and High School levels?
Is this a result of AAU or HS coaching? Maybe a difference in the game at the lower levels versus at the NCAA level? I don't know that I have seen this with other players... how come it is such a big problem for Tilmon?
I remember watching Doug Smith back in the day... he was a big man who found it hard to control himself sometimes (and sometimes his anger got the better of him). But that does not seem to be Tilmon's issues... or is it?
