Mizzou has now played the normal eight SEC games and are 5-3. Two of the losses were against the two teams that will play for the SEC Championship in two weeks the nation's #1 and #6 teams. That is the third best record we have had in the SEC, behind only the two 7-1 East Division champion teams. Even Coach Pinkel was 2-6 and 1-7 in his other two SEC seasons. Barry Odom went 4-4 twice with his other two teams being 3-5 and 2-6. That's a pretty amazing stat for a first year coach playing mostly with players that got the previous coach fired. How things have changed. As Gabe said, it's ok to get excited.
