Why did Drink get an extension for 2 years?

My point is if you are going to extend to show confidence in the coach you do a Jimbo type contract. (Not saying that we should). If you recall we extended Odom in 2018 for 2 years and fired him a year later. In this day and age in my opinion these don’t matter. Did it matter with Bryan Harsin? Unless you have a Jimbo type contract or something that is for 5-10 years what’s the point. Unless it required Drink to hire an OC😊
