NCAAF Signing Day Chaos Thread

There have been a ton of SD or just after Signing Day switches. I don't ever recall a year like this.

SO I thought it would be good to see a thread of the betrayals, etc. that happened this week. Merry Flipmas indeed.

Mizzou Got one with Sam WIlliams, but he was hardly the headlining flip.

Lets just look at Oregon:
5 Star Peyton Bowen.

Committed to ND on MOnday, Oregon on Wednesday, then signs with OU today:

Oregon loses DB Caleb Pressy to Washington on Signing Day

Oregon did land their big QB who flipped to them Wed Morning: "our-star quarterback Austin Novosad flipped his commitment from the Bears to the Ducks on Wednesday mornin"

Oregon still ended up with top 11 class. What a crazy week for them.

Most ridiculous Mizzou Quote ever, there is some truth to the first part

I don't know if this can be beat, from the Columbia Missourian files

In the midst of the dreary 1999 football season, former Missouri Coach Larry Smith was asked about an Internet rumor that he had demoted his offensive coordinator.

“I think any idiot who wants to put anything they want on the Internet is a moron,” Smith thundered. “I don’t have an Internet.”

FOOTBALL RECRUITING Cory Patterson to Purdue (from Illinois)

SIAP. Ryan Walters takes Patterson (along with a few others) with him to Purdue.

Though Illinois has obviously has become more relevant under Bielema, I'm not sure they were really competing head-to-head with Mizzou on any STL kids just yet. Not a ton that Mizzou was concerned about anyways. But this is going to ding Illinois a little bit, at least in the short term recruiting STL I would think.

Illinois has a DBs coach spot open right now from one of the others that Walters took. I have a feeling it won't be Terry Hawthorne, but it does make me wonder if they'd try to bring him back now to fill in the STL vacancy of sorts on the staff now.
