A little unexpected

Any chance he could be ready by bowl game.

Drinkwitz doing a zoom at 8 am tomorrow. Hoping to talk to DRF too. There was no availability tonight, but we'll get everything posted in the morning. Hopefully will have an idea what we're looking at practice/availability wise then too

Many key defensive guys don’t show up in this video of practice today or the pictures below. I didn’t see KAD, Rake, Hopper, Carlie’s, etc…

I know a player that is a RB/WR/slash type player that is currently doing very well at another University.

Here are his collegiate stats:

2020: 6 carries for 47 yards 7.8 YPC 1 TD

2021: 74 carries for 636 yards 8.6 YPC 7 TDs
24 receptions 295 yards 12.3 per 2 TDs

2022: very limited stats because of injury — now fully recovered
12 rushes for 54 yards 4.5 YPC & 4 rec 86 yards 21.5 per reception

I coached this player in junior high football and he is electrifying. He is a son of a 10 year NFL veteran at RB who was also recognized as an “SEC Legend.”

His dad whom I coached with says that his son is far better than he was at this stage. He would have 3 years of eligibility because 2020 didn’t count and he would get a medical redshirt this year.

When I asked Dad tonight about his son’s future plans—-he responded: “Looking. See what’s out there. Looking at places that would be a great fit. Somewhere that would utilize his speed, catching ability, etc.”

I responded “well he is a truly electric player and I’d really love to see him be the feature back…he is an unbelievable player. Give him the chance to really shine.”

Dad’s response: “Exactly! That’s my hope for sure. He just needs that chance.”

This kid is well aware of Mizzou as I wore Mizzou gear at just about every practice for 4 years.

I’ve dreamed of seeing this kid in Black and Gold. If you had seen him with the football in his hands you would know what I’m talking about and why.

I want to at least see if that’s possible by connecting the wires of whoever at Mizzou would be the one to explore this with Dad.

And I really really don’t want to see Mizzou have to play against him.

the guy we were all dying for the last couple of years is available after a decent but disappointing year.

Crew giving Mizzou a lot of love for what could have been a different season. Doering very complimentary of Drink's recruiting, Dari complimentary of Baker, Roman Harper said we were a few snaps from being the third best team in the East. We had Flipmas today for Burks, transfer portal is kicking off, all is good.

Take a step back - at the end of the day, this team is playing another P5 team, in a (relatively) desirable location, and before Xmas (an apparent goal for the program). This notion that it should matter that Mizzou didn't get one of the Pool of 6 Bowls is ridiculous. Why should that matter?

/sarcasm font: Oh no, we didn't get to go to Memphis or the Texas Bowl in Houston, what an INDICTMENT about the program and our AD.

Mizzou is always going to be a stepchild for bowl selection because Mizzou has always been the stepchild. That's just a fact.

Mizzou playing kU has absolutely ZERO upside. None. At all.

Talked with Harris last night, who visited Missouri earlier this year for the Vanderbilt game and picked up an offer while he was on campus. Ironically enough, he has two official visits set this month to...Vanderbilt (Dec. 9th) and Missouri (Dec. 16th).
