BASKETBALL Trouble for Todd Golden (UF)

Can't see how he survives this with multiple people coming forward.

FOOTBALL RECRUITING Ohio OL has Missouri as one of his frontrunners...

2026 four-star offensive tackle Sam Greer from Akron (Ohio) Hoban told me after his visit to Missouri this weekend - and seeing that incredible win in person - that the Tigers are the team to beat in his recruitment.

"Craziest game I’ve ever been to," Greer said. "Mizzou is in my top schools right now and I just love everything about the place. The coaches are great people and real genuine and they let me know that I am one of their top recruits in my class and that I’m a top priority for them in the 26 class."

FOOTBALL As a long time Mizzou fan….

There are many aspects of Drink’s coaching and game management that have to improve.

However, going back to the k-state game last season, Mizzou has won many games in a fashion that I’ve seen Mizzou lose previously.

I don’t know what to make of that, but it’s become a trend the last two seasons with Drink in charge.

NEW STORY THE DEEP DIVE: PAYTON THORNE VS. MISSOURI PASS COVERAGE

Here’s story No. 3 from me today and we’re getting back to football with the reverse deep dive from this morning.

Here’s Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne vs. The Mizzou pass defense, with some extra focus on Nick Deloach vs. the starting corners because I didn’t really want to just rehash the same “coverage has been bad” stats I’ve already used a couple of times.

GAME THREAD PREGAME THREAD: OKLAHOMA

We've got a long time to prep for the game tonight, but I figure that means a lot of time to read and listen to some preview content from the week.

Here's my game day predictions and keys:

Here's a link to The Oklahoma Drill podcast I was a guest on this week:

I was on about the first 30-35 minutes. (I'm working on getting a better microphone, that's part of why I haven't done much video or podcast content yet)

Here is the Know your Foe for this week:

And Kenny's look at the starters as recruits:

The scouting report:

And the deep dives:

I think I know the answer already, but how's everyone feeling heading into the revival of the series against OU?

FOOTBALL Pyne

No reason for Pyne not to have a decent game. The kid has talent, just seems to me in my limited time watching him he needs to know the play book better. To many times the receiver breaks right, he throws left. Hopefully he has been working on that.

Well, that’s a ton of guys for both teams.
That’s OU’s top running back and two top receivers.

Mookie Cooper still doubtful, Brayshawn Littlejohn is new on there.
Nate Noel and Brady Cook up to questionable this week and Cayden Green up to probable.

We’ll see how the progression looks through the week.

NEW STORY MIZZOU BEATS HOWARD, 77-62

The Tigers were never able to pull away because of a terrible night from beyond the arc. If Missouri could have even shot poorly from 3, you're looking at a 25+ point win. But even without the 3s falling, the Tigers were able to hang on for their first win since Dec. 30, 2023.
