Drink and the social media staff have been good at making moments in the program go viral which does nothing but help with exposure and recruiting. With some open scholarships this year I would love to see walk on D'ionte "BooBoo" Smith get rewarded with a scholarship in one of those viral videos that gets picked up by ESPN, Bleacher Report, etc.
In my opinion the kid has earned it and based off other threads on here I'm sure the majority of you would agree. The only reasons I can think of not to do it would be the uncertainty with scholarship numbers next year with the possibility of multiple seniors coming back along with the university's financial situation. I know it's ultimately up to the university and coaches, but it would be neat to see and might help a little with recruiting.
