Back in August my flywheel on my jeep busted and I had it replaced. Well a couple months ago a gasket blew and I ended up with a hole in the engine. The (different) mechanic replacing the engine said that the flywheel was installed incorrectly and the crankshaft sensor was damaged in the process (visible marks where it was pried on). This allowed the crankshaft to shift, thus causing it to backfire hard enough that the gasket blew.

What are my legal options, considering it was the apparent negligence that caused the engine to blow?
