-Gates said hat's off to Seton Hall. He said it's impossible to win ball games when your opponent shoots 60%. Seton Hall averages about five 3s a game - they had 10 tonight and a lot of them were open. He credits his team for the way they fought during the last four minutes and it's something they want to replicate going forward.

-Gates said the defensive breakdown started with their communication. They also weren't able to get as many deflections as usual.

-Tamar Bates said they have to start games like they're already down 20 because they play so much harder. Said they can't let making or missing shots affect their energy.

-Gates said he's happy with his team's shooting stats but that they gave up too many looks on defense. Said when his team was down 19, they just had to keep playing and know the ball was going to bounce their way again.

-Gates said he feels every team they've lost to is an NCAA tournament team and that the lessons they take from each are going to help them throughout the year.

-Bates said he knew his team needed more from him and he knew he needed to start stepping up more with Caleb Grill out. He said the stats are nice but he'd rather come out with the win.

-Gates said Carter has to hit his open shots - they're not going to win many games with him shooting 1-12 from the field. He does like what he's seeing from Carter rebounding-wise though. He was proud of the minutes they got from Zeus, especially considering he hadn't played that much in a long time. He thought Aidan Shaw tried to play "too perfect" in front of his hometown crowd.
