Anyone see the article on The Athletic regarding stop rate? It was centralized around Lincoln Riley’s decision to move away from Stoops. Pretty simple statistic that represents the % of drives ending in a punt, turnover, or turnover on downs. Good, short read if you have the subscription.
Mizzou ranks 92nd in the country at 63.6%. SC, Vandy and Arkansas the only SEC teams with a worse stop rate. Oddly, Mizzou *only* averages 1.86 pts/possession which would put us top ~45 in the country. Would seem to indicate more drives had ended in FGs than normal I guess?
