I apologize if this has been asked already on here but with all the transfers at Mississippi St. It got me wondering. Transfers will probably be at an all time high after this season. So do D1 FBS transfers have to sit out next year? Seeing as this year doesn’t count towards eligibility and they’re essentially all red shirting while playing.... will they have to sit out in 21’ or be eligible for immediate play? Man if they are eligible immediately this coming season then that’s really gonna mess up the incoming recruiting class ON TOP OF seniors having the option to return and the Juniors still having 2 years after this instead of 1. Which would also impact freshman planning on red shirting and filling in the for would be departing senior, etc. The Transfer portal might have enough players to field its own conference for the next 2-4 years.
